This cadre was born in 1925 in the district of Phu Cat in Binh Dinh. She participated in several women’s associations at the commune and district levels, and was also a member of a self-defense unit in her commune before the August Revolution. She was involved in mass mobilization work in rent and interest reduction campaigns (phat dong quan chung giam to giam tuc) in the fifth Military Zone (Lien khu uy V). In 1955 she was sent to the North.
